In September 1967, Sweden converted from left-hand traffic to right-hand. This meant naturally big changes in the tram cities.

The city system was withdrawn in Stockholm, and the entire system in Helsingborg.

In Gothenburg , Lidingö( more like a light transit ) , Norrköping and MALMÖ the tram system was kept, with new or rebuilt cars.

However the number of cars was reduced in Malmö, as well as the routes.

Finally the right-hand traffic system was closed in 1973.

Now there is a museum route since a few years, run by tram fans in the summers.
